Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Current NYS Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service as a Program Aide (G13) OR a NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent permanent, competitive service in a title at or above a (G11) and eligible for transfer to a Program Aide (G13) under section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Office applications proficient (Excel, MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), ability to multitask efficiently, dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with others, ability to work independently, excellent attention to details and organization.

Duties Description Provide program support to Wadsworth Center's Division of Laboratory Operations. Triage requests for Facility/Operation services at Biggs Laboratory. Support the State Laboratory Order Desk by facilitating and tracking purchase order requests. Facilitate the Laboratory's Animal Welfare Program with their annual recertification process while responding to internal and external stakeholder questions. Facilitate and process vouchers for the Annual Safety Shoe Program. Assist with Laboratory Operations budgeting processes and reports, answer phones and assist with other special projects as needed.

Additional Comments Full-time, contingent-permanent. Transfer candidates may be asked for their social security number to verify eligibility.
