Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s degree* AND four years of specialized experience** as described below; OR an associate’s degree AND six years of specialized experience** as described below; OR eight or more years of specialized experience** as described below.

**Specialized experience must have been where your duties involved work utilizing the following skills:
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to identify, create and develop relationships with key stakeholders
• Experience in community engagement
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience in developing and delivering PowerPoint presentations
• Knowledge of workforce development and planning
• Highly organized, proven analytical skills and track record in creative problem solving
• The ability to work independently and to plan, prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment, especially under tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders.
Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
: The Project Coordinator in the Business Engagement Strikeforce Unit will:
• Lead priority initiatives throughout the state, manage large projects and assist with high level service delivery.
• Responsible for working with business, industry, and educational institutions to create and maintain partnerships to align the educational and workforce systems with employers needs and build a foundation strengthening economic development and growth in the state.
• Identify training opportunities as well as public and private funding streams to strengthen the talent pool to meet regional skills demand in critical emerging and expanding industries.
• Work on high-profile, region-specific initiatives that will strengthen connections between businesses and better meet the talent demand in that area, including organizing major recruitment efforts for new and expanding businesses in a region; working closely with regional leaders and other stakeholders related to workforce development initiatives, including; providing initiative oversight; staff development; reporting and monitoring; relationship building with key stakeholders and community leaders.
• Use innovative industry knowledge to broker relationships with organizations, such as universities; community colleges; vocational training centers; WIOA interagency partners; other state and local partner agencies.
• Plan, review and provide oversight on new initiatives in partnership with community organizations and partners.
• Oversee the utilization of DOL’s intense case management model to serve individuals and communities most in need of support and job placement services.
• Develop data driven and narrative progress reports to be delivered to executive leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.
