Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. When required to operate motor vehicles, incumbents must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.
The preferred candidate will have the ability to operate and maintain office equipment and systems and the ability to drive an 18,000-pound truck.
Duties Description Duties:
• Research and prepare orders for tools, materials, and supplies needed for warehouse stock and tasks.
• Complete orders for needed supplies and submit to Director of Administrative Services.
• Assist in maintaining accurate asset inventory.
• Responsible for loading, unloading and physically handling equipment, furniture, supplies, etc.
• This will require the operation of forklifts, hand trucks, power jacks, and other types of moving equipment.
• Responsible for assembly, disassembly and/or modifications to modular furniture systems, as well as the maintenance and repair of furniture. Requires the use of power tools.
• Responsible for the assembly, disassembly and/or modifications to warehouse commercial shelving system. Requires the use of both power tools as well as moving equipment.
• Must be able to lift and carry a 65-pound box of paper.
• Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must be willing to work overtime and to travel.
