Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications "1. 12 semester credit hours in therapeutic recreation, arts, crafts, dance, drama, or physical education and one year of experience in direct client care in a geriatric setting*
2. a high school or high school equivalency diploma and two years of experience in direct client care in a geriatric setting*
3. four years of experience in direct client care in a geriatric setting*
*Direct client care experience includes, but is not limited to, attending to patients’ personal hygiene, grooming, nutrition, and daily living needs. Examples of geriatric settings include, but are not limited to skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, and adult day care facilities, and senior centers.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a recreation setting and/or fundamental knowledge of recreation programs.

Duties Description Under the supervision of a Nursing Home Activities Assistant 2, you would provide and direct leisure time activities for residents

Additional Comments Please note shifts available are bid on montly on a rotating seniority list. As an example, some of the shifts run 8:45am-5:15pm while other shifts run 4pm-8pm or 6pm-8:30pm. Additional shifts scheduled during special events and holidays.
