Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES: This is a temporary position, with a maximum duration of one year. It is expected that the employment relationship will cease with the completion of the project.
The Temporary Office Assistant 1 in the NYS Department of Labor's Office of Special Investigations Unemployment Insurance Division (UID) will perform the following but not limited to:
• Administrative assistance to unit clearing collateral consequences for victims of pandemic era identity fraud.
• Respond to questions concerning the operation of the unit or program area.
• Provide office support and perform clerical tasks.
• Resolve work problems.
• Review forms and applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
This is a temporary project position, with a maximum duration of one year. It is expected that the employment relationship will cease with the completion of the project.
This position may require a fingerprint background check prior to appointment.
Candidates with no previous state service will begin at the starting rate of the salary range listed above.
Additional location pay is available for the following counties: Bronx, Kings, Nassau, NYC-Manhattan, Queens, Richmond, Rockland, Suffolk, and Westchester, Dutchess, Orange, and Putnam.
