Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Either currently a Dietician 2, or reachable on the current Dietician 2 list, or eligible for appointment to Dietician 2

Duties Description DUTIES and Preferred experience/skills to include, but not limited to:
• Inspects or supervises food preparation, handling, service areas, & meals; & assists in identifying deficiencies & implementing corrective action plans to ensure compliance with prescribed diets, menus, standards, & requirements

• Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team; completes nutrition screenings & assessments; consults with healthcare providers on individual diet therapy programs to determine nutritional needs & diet restrictions; & identifies & recommends regimens to improve & maintain nutritional health

• Develops, plans, &/or approves diets & menus, including changes & substitutions; initiates actions to modify menus based on individual preferences & concerns; & coordinates & supervises recipe development & standardization

• Provides nutritional care instructions, information, training & consultation services to individuals & families; healthcare, direct care, & food & nutrition staff; & community-based programs on nutrition therapy, menu planning, & food preparation, sanitation, & safety procedures

• May supervise Dietitian Technicians& perform the full range of supervisory duties
