Job Specifics
Duties Description • Assist with routine vendor and agency coordinator requests.
• Perform clerical duties such as updating office procedures, filing, scanning, writing correspondence, copying, coordinating meetings, monitoring multiple mailboxes, and identifying office supply needs.
• Maintain the Fleet Motor pool reservation calendar.
• Support telematics and ZEV endeavors.
• Monitor vehicle and equipment surplus submittals.
• Review invoices, verify tracking spreadsheets, and process payments.
• Compile records using the agency’s fleet management systems and other vendor systems.
• Assist with fuel ordering.
• Perform other duties and special projects as required.
• Travel is required.
Operational Needs:
• Travel will be mandatory until December of 2026.
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Driver’s License issued by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicle is required.
Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS)* and applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this position:
Applicants must possess one year of clerical experience.
Applicants may be appointed to this position if currently reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title OR are a current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 7 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
