Job Specifics

Duties Description Dispatcher with supervisor responsibility for University Police, which provides police emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Essential Functions:

Performs the full range of duties assigned to University Police Communications and Security Specialist 1. (60%)
Oversee the status and control over all radio units for the department. (5%)
Oversee and monitor all equipment pertaining to the security camera system utilized by the department. (10%)
Serve as the liaison between University Police and Monroe County Emergency Communications Department. (2%)
Ensure all NYS DCJS Accreditation standards associated with the department’s dispatch center are up to date and in  compliance. (5%)
Oversee the lost and found property secured within the dispatch center. (5%)
Review all entries into the department’s RMS/CAD system to ensure accuracy and compliance. (10%)
Serve as Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) for NYS eJustice. (3%)

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have permanent appointment in a University Police Communications & Security Specialist 2 classified position (or be eligible for transfer) or be reachable for appointment on the current NY State Civil Service eligible list for University Police Communications & Security Specialist 2 - Brockport location.

Provisional Appointment: one year of permanent service as a University Police Communications and
Security Specialist 1.
