Job Specifics

Duties Description Niagara Falls State Park is seeking a Park & Rec Aid to assist agency staff in the Housekeeping Department of Niagara Falls State Park. This position will be responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of all park buildings and restrooms. Duties include but not limited to:

Cleaning and upkeep of all park buildings and restrooms.
Performs simple maintenance activities such as restocking shelves, fixing or replacing restroom hardware, unclogging toilets and sinks, replacing faucets and washers.
Operation and basic maintenance of vehicles and power-driven equipment.
May assist with upkeep and repair of park furnishings.
Assist as directed during emergencies, performing traffic and crowd control.

Minimum Qualifications No minimum qualifications per Civil Service.

Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to perform medium to heavy physical labor and lift up to 50 pounds.
