Job Specifics

Duties Description The EET1 would be tasked to perform a variety of work which includes:

Assist the Contracts & Payments Section (CPS) in procuring standby contracts and processing invoice payments known as Contractor Applications for Payment (CAPs). The individual will become knowledgeable in standby contract language and requirements; subcontractor solicitation rules; contract labor categories; and other reimbursable costs under the standby contracts.

Work involves an understanding of the electronic document management system (DECDocs system), use of Unified Information System (UIS) database, and use of Statewide Financial System (SFS). Hands-on training on these systems will be provided as needed.

The Department is in the final stages of procuring new Standby Professional Environmental Services contracts which require the transfer of work for approximately 400 work assignments to new contracts. The individual will assist CPS Contract Managers (CM) with the transition of work from the old contracts to the new contracts.

The Department intends to begin the Standby Response Services procurement this year. The individual will assist with tasks to facilitate advertising of the Request for Proposals, evaluating the proposals, and subsequent routing of the contracts.

Assist CMs by performing CAP reviews/prechecks. Perform contract audits on select CAPs with a summary of findings presented to CM. Coordinate with technical Project Managers to increase budgets and confirm purchase order budgets are update successfully. Use DECDocs to enter documents and files into the system using appropriate naming conventions.

Coordinate the standby contractor surveys and compile the results for each contractor.

Create SFS/UIS tracking reports necessary for the monthly contract capacity assessments. Monitor SFS eSettlements and SFS error query to identify errors and corrective action warranted. Track SFS support tickets and resolutions to errors.

Additional duties will be assigned based on Bureau/Section needs.

Minimum Qualifications Four years of experience in technician work in aeronautical, chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, mechanical, or sanitary engineering technology; environmental technology; geology or geology technology; or as a surveyor or a drafter; OR graduation from high school and one year of qualifying experience; OR graduation from a high school technical education program in aeronautics, architectural drafting, chemistry, electricity, electronics, mechanical design and construction, technical structural drafting and design, technical instrumentation and control systems, or computer circuitry; OR 18 college semester credit hours in any combination of the following: engineering, geology, environmental science, natural or physical science, drafting, mathematics, or surveying.

Additional Comments This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 3/31/2027, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
