Job Specifics
Duties Description Analyze qualitative data relating to Hospital Financial Assistance Law complaints from patients and patient advocacy organizations.
Prepare analytical reports for Director of Bureau of Patient Advocacy and Wellbeing relating to Hospital Financial Assistance Law complaints and Community Benefit Spending reporting by hospitals.
In partnership with the Director of Bureau of Patient Advocacy and Wellbeing and other Bureau staff, create an electronic reporting form for public hospitals to collect and save data relating to community events organized by the hospital, for purposes of increasing accuracy and completeness of Community Benefit Spending data.
Alongside Director of the Division of Health Care Transformation, conduct qualitative and fiscal impact analyses of Statewide Health Care Transformation Grant applications.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be a matriculated undergraduate or graduate college student. Documentation of matriculation and enrollment in the Fall 2026 semester must be submitted with your resume.
Preferred Qualifications: Student pursuing master's in public health strongly preferred. Additional preferred qualifications include:
- Knowledge of analytical software packages and programs, such as SAS, R, or Python
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with data collection tools such as Google forms, Alchemer, and SharePoint
- High proficiency with data analysis visualization tools, including Tableau

Temporary, part-time, non-competitive. Salary determined by academic level. 20 hours per week during the academic year is required, schedule is flexible. Must maintain matriculated student status to retain employment.
Telecommuting is permissible up to 50% of working hours based on operational needs and at the discretion of the assigned Program area.
