Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Possession of a license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and one year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.

Duties Description Nursing assessments and orientation of inmates. Routine and emergency sick call for inmate population. Monitor Physician call out, note and transcribe orders. Chronic health problems and monitoring of communicable disease. Provide individuals with their prescription medication. Maintain adequate inventory control of medical supplies and over-the-counter medications. Chart management consistent with accreditation and QA. Provide emergency medical care for employees. Training. Work as a team.

Additional Comments This is a per diem, as needed, position and is paid hourly. Day and evening hours available.
