Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Must have a license to practice medicine in New York State and possession of an M.D., M.B.B.S., or D.O. and have completed one year post graduate training acceptable to liaison committee or graduate Medical Education of the American Medical Association (or as listed in the director of approved residency training programs), and have had two years of subsequent medical experience.

Duties Description Compliance with time and attendance standers of IPP (institutional practice plan); evaluation treatment of patients daily; provision of emergency services 24 hours daily; care of special housing patients; manage/supervise nurse practitioner and PA's to ensure they provide professional and adequate health care at all times; maintenance and improvement of knowledge skills required for practice of correctional system medicine; compliance with infection control standard universal precautions; provide surgery for minor procedures for the HUB.
