Minimum Qualifications Required Qualifications:
*A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) and five (5) years of industry experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
*Experience should include Pre-press/Pre-flight; High Speed Copying (Color and Black and White); Digital Press Operations; Bindery/Folding Operations; and experience with Xerox digital sheet-fed printing presses.
*Successful candidate must be computer literate.
*Must have outstanding interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving and time management skills and good customer service skills.
*Ability to oversee, monitor and enforce all campus policies and procedures related to the function.
*Ability to remain on budget of raw materials, waste and labor cost while ensuring quality.

Preferred Qualifications:
*Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign, MS Word, MS Publisher.
*Knowledge of U.S.P.S. design requirements for printed mail pieces.

Duties Description The primary focus of this position is to lead the printing operation towards advanced standards of quality, production, efficiency, safety and optimal contribution to the campus. Process analysis and improvement will be required. This position is responsible for recommending, implementing, monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of policies and procedures. Training, policy enforcement, R&D, supplier management, employee management, waste reduction, efficiency production are key areas that require improvement and fall under the responsibility of this position.

Duties:
*Responsible for overall efficiency/production, quality and safety for Print Shop.
*Responsible for hands-on production of materials and supplies to support campus operations.
*Prepare materials for production including graphics manipulation, limited graphic design work, desktop publishing and imposing files.
*High Speed Copying (Color and Black and White) - Perform high speed duplication work. Work involves receiving master material from hard copies or electronic media, basic manipulation of color, preparing and setting up files and equipment for copying and finishing, reviewing all proofs and final product samples produced before releasing to customers or performing finishing work.
*Digital Press Operations - Perform high-quality digital printing work. Work involves receiving master material electronically, digitally manipulating color values, preparing and setting up files and equipment for printing and finishing, reviewing all proofs and final product samples produced before releasing to customers or performing finishing work.
*Responsible for supervising staff, as assigned.
*Ensure that maintenance of the equipment and work environment is performed as scheduled.
*Bindery/Folding Operations - Set up assigned machines to specifications for binding and/or folding, monitor machines during the run to ensure adherence to specifications, unload, stack and prepare for shipping and delivery. Maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
*Utilizes Xerox digital sheet-fed printing presses.
*Hire, train, direct and mentor staff and all Shop employees.
*Conduct daily inspections of the equipment and work place to ensure order and cleanliness.
*Ensure procedures are being followed in preparation for production:
1.Color standards are established and equipment is prepared accordingly - ensure consistency of color and registration to meet the approved customer specification for the entire run of a job.
2.First article inspection, adjustments and approval.
3.Create and or follow department procedures and policies for quality.
4.Work with and communicate with suppliers for R&D, training and development.
5.Perform special assignments as requested.
6.Maintain neat and orderly workplace.
