Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Auditing, Business, Business Administration, Business and Technology, Commerce, Consumer Sciences, Computer Science, Economics, Econometrics, Finance, Information Systems, Information System Engineering, Internal Controls, Mathematics, or Statistical Analysis.

Preferred Skills: Analytical skills, team player, communications, and proficiency in MS Office.

Appointment method:

This is an appointment to a position in the exempt jurisdictional class. As such, the incumbent of this position would serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority.

Duties Description The Department of Financial Services (DFS) is seeking candidates for the position of Virtual Currency Supervision Analyst (Director Financial Services Programs 3) in the Research and Innovation Division to analyze financial data and reconcile capital calculations submitted by Virtual Currency (VC) licensees. Duties of this position will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Reviews and monitors quality of data submissions by VC entities; monitors variances; identifies trends; recommends relevant actions to management;
• Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data;
• Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data;
• Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses;
• Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential; and
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and work on ad hoc projects as needed.

Additional Comments Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Positions located within the New York City metropolitan area, as well as Suffolk, Nassau, Rockland, and Westchester Counties, are also eligible to receive an additional $3,026 annual downstate adjustment.

Appointment to this position is pending Division of Budget approval to fill.
