Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's or higher degree* including or supplemented by 18 semester credit hours in economics; AND 6 semester credit hours in computer science, economics, econometrics, mathematics, operations research, research methods, and/or statistics
*Degree must be awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education. Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
As a Project Assistant in the State Data Center, the incumbent will assist with the nationwide effort to improve public access to data provided by the United States Census Bureau. This area is primarily responsible for answering data requests related to demographics and population estimates. The incumbent will:
• Respond to State Data Center-related requests for Census Bureau and BLS data products and information, including the longitudinal employer-household dynamics programs
• Assist with designing data systems to capture information for program research and assist with the design and evaluation of studies that involve changing the economic environment and impact on participants of various programs
• Produce demographics, statistics, and labor market information for the Governor’s Office and other requestors, such as government agencies, the media, and private sector organizations.
