Minimum Qualifications Permanent transfer candidates: Current Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Health Program Administrator (G18); OR current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a title eligible to transfer under Section 52.6, Section 70.1, or Section 70.4 of the Civil Service Law to a Health Program Administrator (G18), Health Program Administrator Trainee 1 (NS), or Health Program Administrator Trainee 2 (NS). Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience in personnel administration/coordination in a public health setting; proficiency using a variety of software including MS Office (Word, Access, Excel and Power Point), SharePoint, Zoom, WebEx and Teams in the preparation of documents, slides, presentations, spreadsheets and reports. Experience providing technical assistance to staff. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a busy office environment; Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.

Duties Description The Health Program Administrator will be responsible for providing support and assistance for personnel administration and recruitment activities for the AIDS Institute. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to assisting with providing policy interpretation and clarification; assisting with recruitment activities, including for both DOH and HRI recruitments; assisting with database management and reporting; assisting with the preparation of written documents and handling administrative matters in support of program activities; representing the AIDS Institute Executive Office, including participating on work groups, committees and other forums, participation in RFA review of applications, serving as AIDS Institute Training Coordinator; assist with coordinating, scheduling and facilitating meetings; arrange teleconferences and/or virtual meetings, along with maintaining electronic calendars; other appropriate duties as assigned.
