Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications You must be licensed and currently registered by NYS as a Licensed Master Social Worker.
You must take and pass a Civil Service examination to be considered for this position OR
Be eligible for a 70.1 transfer.

Duties Description The Licensed Master Social Worker 2 (LMSWs) meets with the residents and the family members, upon admission and continually through the residents stay, to assess, evaluate, formulate and implement a plan of action based on the individual needs and strengths. The LMSW participates heavily in the development of interdisciplinary care plans, reviews and revises plans as needed to provide the best care for our Veterans, reviews, investigates and documents all resident/family complaints. In this position, the LMSW is essential to providing residents the psychological needs and resources for their mental and physical health, as well as assisting families in any long term care needs that they may need to consider. An LMSW2 may also be required to supervise and train subordinates
