Minimum Qualifications Reassignment & Transfer Opportunities: Current New York State Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent permanent, competitive status as an Office Assistant 1, Grade 6, OR a New York State employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent permanent, competitive, service in a title at or above Grade 4, and deemed eligible for transfer to Office Assistant 1, Grade 6, under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The Office Assistant 1 will provide critical administrative support for the Glens Falls District Office. The Office Assistant 1 will be responsible for answering telephones, responding to questions concerning policy or procedures, and referring calls to appropriate staff members for technical information. In addition, the position will organize the flow of paper in the office. The Glens Falls District Office inspects and permits operations in Saratoga, Warren, and Washington counties.

Additional Comments Full time, permanent appointment.
