status as a Health Program Administrator
(G18); OR current NYS employee with one year or more
of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive
service in a title eligible to transfer under Section 52.6,
Section 70.1, or Section 70.4 of the Civil Service Law to
a Health Program Administrator (G18), Health Program
Administrator Trainee 1 (NS), or Health Program

100 or higher OR qualified 55B/C candidate in
possession of a Bachelor’s or higher degree.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint). Must be able to work independently and as part of a team as well as handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Duties Description The Health Program Administrator will be assigned to Biggs Laboratory Administration at the Wadsworth Center. Duties will include coordinating both State and grant-funded personnel transactions and recruitment efforts, communicating with program and human resources staff; providing support to Administrators and Program Directors; preparing ad hoc reports; establishing administrative procedures; reviewing and processing travel paperwork for Center staff; reviewing purchase orders for supplies and equipment in accordance with NYS procurement law; supervising administrative support staff; and other duties as assigned.
