Duties Description The Professional Engineer 1 (Environmental) will serve as the program manager for the water program in the Hornell District Office. The position will aid the District Office by completing plan reviews, performing sanitary surveys of public water systems (PWSs), regulating PWSs and mass gatherings, providing technical assistance to staff and the public, and issuing violations/enforcement actions to non-compliant facilities. The Hornell District Office’s water program currently regulates 231 public water systems and reviews approximately 120 sets of plans each year.
Additional Comments Permanent, full-time appointment. This position involves travel which includes locations not served by public transportation (30%).
