Minimum Qualifications Bachelors of science or higher degree in nursing; current New York State license and registration as a professional registered nurse; and four years of post-licensure nursing experience that includes at least one year of experience performing one or a combination of the following activities: Developing and/or implementing adult and/or children immunization programs; Monitoring, investigating and/or performing disease prevention, surveillance and/or control activities; Researching, developing, and/or implementing public health policies and/or procedures, and Overseeing the provision of healthcare services to individuals and/or communities.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of immunization recommendations and vaccine preventable diseases. Experience working with at-risk adult populations. Experience developing education and/or training materials. Experience working with Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Duties Description The Project Coordinator, serving as the Adult Immunization Coordinator will lead and participate in the development of outreach and education efforts to improve adult immunization rates for COVID-19, influenza, and other necessary vaccines for at-risk individuals. Activities include: Coordinating education, training, presentations, and targeted guidance to healthcare providers, healthcare facilities, and local health departments on best practices to improve adult immunization coverage to at-risk individuals, for COVID-19 and other vaccines; Developing, in collaboration with NYSDOH communication staff, targeted written education materials to at-risk adult populations; Developing written educational materials and communiques to healthcare providers; Oversee adult provider outreach projects, including the development of proposals for contract procurements and contract monitoring; Coordinating immunization components of NYS seasonal and pandemic influenza plans, and Monitoring adult immunization coverage rates to inform program activities.
