Minimum Qualifications Reassignment & Transfer Opportunities: Current New York State Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent permanent, competitive status as an Office Assistant 1 (Keyboarding), Grade 6, OR a New York State employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent permanent, competitive, service in a title at or above Grade 4, and deemed eligible for transfer to Office Assistant 1 (Keyboarding), Grade 6, under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Public Candidates: Active list candidate on the Office Assistant 1 Keyboarding eligible list#26-697, OR qualified 55 b/c candidate.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate must be able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment, have strong organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a desire to contribute to a team-oriented workplace. The preferred candidate will also have experience using the following computer programs: Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook; and Adobe Pro.
Duties Description The Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program (CLEP) is responsible for the oversight of clinical testing including low complexity, point-of-care testing performed under Limited Service Laboratories (LSL). The LSL Unit in CLEP routinely processes approximately 5,000 applications per year. Tasks include but are not limited to preparing mailings; digitizing and archiving application documents; reviewing applications for completeness and accuracy; monitoring the shared mailbox, answering the phone and referring inquiries as necessary.
