Minimum Qualifications Permanent transfer candidates: Current Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Medicaid Redesign Analyst 1 (G18). Public Candidates: Active list candidate on the New York State Department of Civil Service's Professional Career Opportunities (PCO) eligible list with a score of 100 OR qualified 55B/C candidate in possession of a Bachelor's or higher degree.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to research and analyze case records to provide resolution. Bachelors degree and experience in health or human service program.
Duties Description Analyze and process incoming transactions and inquiries using NYS Medicaid eligiblily, managed long term care enrollment and payment systems. Coordinate activities with local social services districts, the Statewide managed care enrollment broker, managed long term care plans, auditors, providers and other stakeholders. Review enrollment, disenrollment, withdrawals and retroactive enrollment/disenrollment transactions. Maintain tracking systems for these and other Bureau processes and compile data and prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports as required. Develop independence in prioritizing incoming tasks and ensure efficient workflow for the Bureau using databases and spreadsheets. Provide written responses to stakeholders relating to resolution of transactions. Review workflow and processes to ensure proper procedures are followed and recommend updates as needed
