Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree plus two years relevant experience.
The preferred candidate would have some familiarity with New York State government.
Duties Description The Executive Chamber of Governor Kathy Hochul is seeking a highly organized, dedicated individual to serve as Scheduling Invites Assistant. The incumbent will support the Deputy Director for Scheduling & Invitations by managing daily tracking and response to invitations received by the Governor’s Office.
The Scheduling Invites Assistant will:
• Process and input all invitations received in the mail, via email, and through the Invitations Office, researching pertinent details related to the invitation and inviting party
• Route tasks through an electronic system to the appropriate advisor or group in the Executive Chamber for response
• Finalize responses and email or call relevant groups with responses to invitations
• Reach out to inviting parties via phone/email as necessary to confirm dates, time, and location of events
• Monitor incoming emails and process email communications in a timely manner
• Answer calls received by the Invitations Office and field pertinent questions pertaining to the status of Governor’s events, meetings, or speaking requests
• Handle special requests involving tracking large groupings of invites, such as commencements, holidays, etc. per the Director of Scheduling of Senior Staff’s request
• Prepare weekly reports as requested
• Assist with a variety of out of office events
• Perform other duties as needed.
