Minimum Qualifications Transfer
Must be a current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, competitive service as an Administrative Assistant 2, Grade 15 or a current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, competitive service or 55-b/c service in a qualifying title and eligible for transfer* under section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The Administrative Assistant 2, Grade 15, will work in the Office of General Counsel (OGC) and will perform duties that include, but are not limited to:
• Providing administrative support to the Department’s Record Access Officer.
• Typing and formatting letters, memoranda, briefs, session items, charts, and reports using MS Office Suite.
• Reviewing outgoing correspondence for proper grammatical usage, clarity, factual correctness, compliance with policy and program information, and conformance to instructions.
• Maintaining confidentiality of documents, program operations, and written and verbal communications.
• Filing and managing deadlines, coordinating with Staff, maintaining calendars, and scheduling meetings and conference calls.
• Making travel arrangements and preparing expense reports with knowledge of Adobe.
• Using DPS Document Matter Management (DMM) filing system.
