Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience using TeamMate Audit Management Software and the ability to: effectively communicate with personnel at all levels (verbal and written); use analytical, critical thinking, and organization skills with the ability to process information quickly; perform duties with the highest level of integrity and provide independent and unbiased recommendations; and maintain a high level of integrity and discretion.

Duties Description Under the general supervision of an Auditor 3, the Auditor 2 will perform the more difficult/complex financial and performance audits of Health programs, accounts, vendors and grantees to ensure efficiency, proper internal controls, and compliance with laws, rules, regulations, contracts, and grants; prepare written reports, and recommend corrective action. The Auditor 2 will also participate in development of the overall audit program and audit plan; conduct risk assessments to gather data and determine the priority of audits; assign work and supervise subordinate staff in the performance of audits; prepare or direct the preparation of audit findings and reports; follow-up on previous audits to determine if corrective action has been taken; and other duties as requested.

Additional Comments Please note: this position requires travel within New York State. Appointees must have a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate their ability to perform the required field audits, if public transportation is not available.
