Minimum Qualifications Permanent Transfer Candidates: Current NYS employee with one year of permanent or contingent permanent competitive service as a Hospital Nursing Services Consultant, G22, or Community Nuring Services Consultant Home Health Services, G22 and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law OR Current NYS employee with one year of permanent or contingent permanent competitive service in a title G20 or higher and meeting the open competitve minimum qualifications listed below.
Open Competitive Minimum Qualifications: Currently licensed and registered as a professional nurse in NYS; AND a minimum of five years of post-licensure health care, public health, community health, or other nursing experience in an appropriate facility setting. Three years of this experience must have been providing direct patient care in a licensed health care facility, and two years of this experience must have been in nursing supervision or working in the capacity of a nurse administrator. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and experience with NYS Medicaid Program, Health Insurance, Managed Care and staff supervision.
Duties Description Assist Division of Health Plan Contract Oversight, Bureau of Consumer Services/TAC in a broad range of planning, implementation, investigation, and oversight activities. This position will track, investigate, refer and resolve Medicaid managed long term care complaints. The incumbent will also act as a liaison between DHPCO’s BMLTC systems, surveillance, and plan management units and externally with MLTC plan representatives, health plans care providers, enrollees and their advocates to assure appropriate access and delivery of health services to vulnerable populations. The incumbent will also supervise TAC staff, and interact with other bureaus and offices within OHIP, CMS, OMH, OASAS and other State agencies.
