Salary RangeFrom $49202 to $62806 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Provisional appointment: Provisional appointment to the Trainee 1 level requires a bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting, auditing, or taxation; or a bachelor’s or higher degree with 24 semester credit hours in accounting, auditing, or taxation courses. Note that courses such as business law, economics, statistics, and most finance courses, although taken as part of an accounting curriculum, cannot be counted toward the 24 semester credit hours. If you do not meet these requirements, you cannot be considered for this position. Candidates appointed provisionally, must take the next Civil Service examination given for the job title, pass it, and be reachable for appointment on the resulting eligible list. If a provisionally appointed employee is either not successful on the examination or passes the examination but is not reachable on the resulting eligible list, the provisionally appointed candidate will not be able to remain in the position. An exam for this title is not currently scheduled.
Duties Description This position will be in the Hardship Analysis Unit and will report to the audit Auditor 2 (Medicaid).
In this unit, an Auditor 1 performs analyses of organizations that apply for relief in the event an OMIG audit may pose a financial hardship to those organizations. This position performs on organization requesting financial relief:
• research of the organization,
• analysis for submitted financial information including audit financial statements and tax returns to determine,
• prepares working papers to document analysis and conclusions.
Additional Comments Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in the use of Word and Excel; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and strong analytical skills.
