Minimum Qualifications Two years of satisfactory experience in a large commercial or institutional laundry, one year of which must have been as a lead worker or serving in a supervisory capacity over employees, Incarcerated Indivduals or working clients/consumers.
Duties Description Supervise a staff of laundry workers (incarcerated individuals) processing between 20 and 40 dry tons of laundry per month. Provides supervision, guidance of workers. Plan work schedules according to the amount of laundry to be processed. Inspect the laundry area to ensure sanitary and safety standards are being met. Notify maintenance of equipment breakdowns. Train workers to operate equipment. Maintains records of productions, supplies used. This position also receives hazard duty pay in addtion to the salary posted. Which is .75 cents more per hour.
