Minimum Qualifications Permanent/Contingent Perm/Provisional**

Permanent qualification: Candidates must currently be a permanent Office Assistant 2 OR be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list.

Transfer qualifications: Candidates must be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Provisional qualifications: Candidates must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in an office assistant, clerical, or keyboarding title allocated to Grade 5 or higher. Duties Description The Office Assistant 2 will be assigned to the Time & Attendance/TIMES Unit and will complete a wide variety of tasks while working with prescribed time frames. Tasks will include all aspects of the TIMES system, auditing, system maintenance and reporting.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Operating, maintaining, and administrating the TIMES system; creating new and updating Employee Profiles; verifying coding for overtime and absences; and auditing Time Sheets
• Reconstruction of timesheets
• Process employee temp/perm work assignment changes
• Emailing updates regarding employee changes in status
• Utilization and maintenance of various tracking spreadsheets
• Process employee separations from service
• Answering emails and phones, assisting employees with T&A/TIMES related questions
• Complete or assist with various local and statewide projects as directed by supervisor
• Filing of Sign In/Out sheets, reconstructions, and Time Sheets.
• Assist with the maintenance of Time & Attendance Manual
• Back up to Program Aide
• Running and disseminating reports as needed or requested
• Other duties as assigned
