Salary RangeFrom $29.34 to $29.34 Hourly
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an art or design field such as art, drawing, painting, illustration, digital design, or interactive media AND two years of experience; OR an associate degree in the same fields AND four years of experience.
Duties Description The Digital and Media Services Center, housed within the Office of General Services (OGS), is a full-service solutions provider with unparalleled experience partnering with New York State agencies, authorities, and entities to meet their communications and digital needs. Simply put, we connect state agencies to the New Yorkers they serve. As a graphic designer you will create custom static pieces for print, e-mail, web, and social media. We do a lot of collaborating around here, but you’ll be successful if you’re able to take the baton and work independently as well. Bonus points if you have motion graphic experience (think Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D).
Various duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Lead design projects and work directly with state agency clients, such as the Executive Chamber, and media buyers.
• Work with the Creative Operations Director, copywriters, and producers to conceptualize and create unique campaigns to promote the state’s agencies, services, and programs.
• Advise clients on best practices and strategies to deliver their message to target audiences.
• Follow branding guidelines, ensure that logos, color themes, and creative looks are accurate and consistent across all platforms.
• Review designs with clients, make edits based on client feedback, and see projects through to the deliverable phase.
• Time management, determine priorities, and manage workflow to meet strict deadlines.
Hourly Pay Rate: $29.34

Additional Comments NOTE ON TELECOMMUTING: OGS employees are required to apply and obtain approval through management to telecommute according to the agency’s Telecommuting Program Guidelines.
