Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be eligible for reassignment or lateral transfer only in accordance with Civil Service Law, or be appointed in accordance with provisions provided by Civil Service Law, Section 55b/c.
Duties Description The incumbent of this position will perform administrative tasks for the Office of Human Resources. Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Applying a working knowledge in all Microsoft Office products, specifically, Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Answering the office’s main telephone line and directing calls accordingly.
• Greeting employees and other visitors that wish to talk to staff within the office.
• Scheduling meetings and entering visitor information into the Visitor Management System.
• Posting bulletins and job vacancy announcements, tracking and organizing responses
• Sorting mail delivered to the office and performing other office support duties as required.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
