Duties Description Perform maintenance and rehabilitation work on infrastructure, including buildings, campground and recreation facilities, bridges, dams, access roads, trails, boundary lines and wildlife management areas.
Will be required to to perform moderate to heavy manual labor; lift up to 80 pounds; climb a ladder and work on heights on scaffolds and platforms; operate heavy equipment, large tractors, and mowers; transport heavy equipment and haul gravel. This position requires a working knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
Additional Comments Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain, work in remote areas and in adverse weather conditions. Travel, overnight travel and overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must obtain a Class B CDL within 12 months of appointment with appropriate endorsements and no air brake restriction. Will be subject to the Federal Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act (OTETA) of 1991,
which requires employee testing for drug and alcohol abuse.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 80 pounds.
This is a seasonal, hourly appointment with an anticipated end date of 03/31/2023. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date. Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
