Minimum Qualifications Current Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent-permanent competitive status as a Senior Accountant, G18 OR current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a title at or above G18 and eligible to transfer to Senior Accountant, G18 under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law; OR current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in an accounting, auditing or fiscal traineeship at the G14 or G16 level and eligible to transfer to an Accountant Traineeship under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The incumbent of this position will assist in preparing the Quarterly Statement of Expenditure reports for the Medical Assistance Administration Program and Child Health Plus Program (QER) - financial reports that are filed with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) securing over $300 million of federal funding on a quarterly basis for each program. The incumbent will examine, review, and compile financial and accounting records and supporting work paper documentation related to the QER. The incumbent will also assist in direct contact with CMS, the federal Office of Inspector General (OIG), and the state's Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) regarding audit inquiries to QER filings.
