Minimum Qualifications Human Resources Specialist 1 Testing, SG-18: eligible for a 52.6 or 70.1 transfer.

Human Resources Specialist Trainee 1 Testing, NS: reachable on the Department of Civil Service’s PATT eligible list (Department of Civil Service employees only); reachable on the PCO eligible list; OR eligible for a 70.1 or 70.4 transfer; or 55-b/c eligible with a Bachelor’s Degree.

Preferred Qualifications: Background and/or experience in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Strong logical reasoning and data analysis skills. Close attention to detail.

Duties Description The incumbent of this position will be responsible for developing Civil Service tests in different occupational areas. The primary duties will include:
• Planning, preparing, and evaluating tests using a variety of formats, including multiple-choice, evaluation of training and experience, job simulations, constructed responses, and performance.

• Collecting and analyzing job information for use in developing and documenting appropriate test plans.

• Writing, editing, reviewing, and proofing test material either independently or by working closely with subject matter experts.

• Conducting statistical analysis, analyzing test results, and preparing final scoring recommendations.
