Minimum Qualifications Education Level required: Bachelor's degree in STEM related field.
Relevant experience required: 5+ years' experience with equity investments, commercialization and/or entrepreneurial
efforts.

Duties Description BASIC FUNCTION:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of NYSTAR and working closely with the Managing Director of NY Ventures, this individual will coordinate efforts with accelerators and angel groups to grow emerging companies in New York. This position will be responsible for handling functions/activities necessary to ensure the success of this program.


WORK PERFORMED:
· Work closely with NYSTAR, NY Ventures and other divisions within ESD to coordinate and achieve the goals of the program
· Establish and manage application process for selecting partner organizations to participate in the program.
· Work with legal representatives to establish agreements and necessary contracts or other legal vehicles for program implementation.
· Establish tools and protocols for submission of investment opportunities from partner organizations.
· Review investment selection processes of partner organizations and ensure ESD receives required information for making co-investment decisions.
· Develop regular reporting and payment processes for investments
· Recruit organizations serving underserved founders to participate in the program.
· Manage communication and marketing of program including leveraging partner organizations.
· Monitor and track all company engagement and assistance provided, documenting likely keys to success or causes of start-up failure.
· Collect, track and summarize information as required to report within ESD and Treasury to ensure program is meeting expected goals and outcomes.
· Present at meetings highlighting program and learnings.
· Oversee and undertake special projects or initiatives as needed.
· Travel primarily in-state.
· Other duties as assigned.

Additional Comments Position expected to work onsite and/or remote consistent with NYS and ESD guidelines and needs.

Albany or NYC - Other Regions will be considered.
