Minimum Qualifications for Open Competitive Appointment: Possession of a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State.
CLINICAL PHYSICIAN 2/SG-36 (Non-Competitive; only for DOCCS)
Minimum Qualifications for Promotional Appointment: one year of service as a Clinical Physician 1, and possession of a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State.
Minimum Qualifications for Open Competitive Appointment: possession of a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State and two years of post-licensure medical experience.
Duties Description Independently diagnose, treat, prescribe, and provide general medical care and treatment services for assigned individuals; provides clinical supervision and guidance to assistant clinical physicians, clinical physicians 1, and other medical providers; and may manage and supervise medical services for an assigned facility, unit, or program.
