Minimum Qualifications Must have a license current registration or a temporary permit to practice radiologic technology in New York State. One year post-licensure or temporary permit experience in the operation of diagnositc radiology equipment.
Duties Description Radiologic Technologists conduct a variety of radiological examinations and observations of patients under the prescriptions and sometimes personal direction of a radiologist, roentgenologist, or other physician in order to assist them in developing clinical information, reads, interprets requested instructions of physicians concerning radiological exam procedures in order to determine what procedures are to be undertaken; administers a variety of radiotherapy treatments to patients under the prescription at times personal direction of a physician; sets up operates automotive developing equipment including the mixing of solutions and cleaning of equipment in order to develop exposed films; compiles a variety of records of exams conducted and treatments administered; along with other customary radiological duties; may supervise a lower level radiologic technologist.
