Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (For Provisional Appointment):
One year of permanent competitive service as a Mineral Resources Specialist 2
Duties Description Perform complex mineral resources analyses/studies; evaluate suitability of reservoirs for underground gas storage; analyze secondary and tertiary recovery methods for environmental and technical suitability; prepare and present testimony as State's witness at public hearings and in court proceedings; assist in public information/intergovernmental relations requirements; responsible for onshore leasing programs; and evaluate new or modified techniques and facilities to determine technical and environmental acceptability; supervise subordinate staff; assist Mineral Resources Specialist 4 in setting priorities and scheduling work and act for the Mineral Resources Specialist 4 in their absence.
Additional Comments Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain Must be able to work in remote areas. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Travel may be required. Overtime may be required. Overnight travel may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds.
