Minimum Qualifications Candidates must possess a New York State Professional Engineer License and current registration. To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.

Duties Description Under the supervision of higher-level staff, the incumbent of this position will provide support to Bridge Capital Program in Region 11 Structures Group. The incumbent of this position will be the Consultant Job Manager and/or Structures Design Squad Leader in-house design squad. Duties include but are not limited to: managing in-house design squads and consultants; developing bridge project scopes; managing bridge projects; project schedules using P6 (primavera); developing/reviewing design reports; coordinating with internal and outside groups and agencies; obtaining permits, preparing project plans specifications and estimates. Details will be discussed during the interview.

Responsibilities may include serving a role within the incident Command System to Support the department's response to regional and statewide emergency situations.

Additional Comments * Telecommuting: The Department's current telecommuting agreement is valid through December 31, 2022 and is subject to extension beyond that date.
