Minimum Qualifications Permanent Qualification: Candidates must currently be a permanent Senior Administrative Analyst; OR

Eligible List Appointment: For appointment to a two-year traineeship leading to a Senior Administrative Analyst, SG-18: Reachable for appointment from one of the following eligible lists: the Gaming Commission Public Administration Traineeship Transition Program (PATT) #00-437 or current Professional Career Opportunities (PCO) #26-570; OR

Transfer Qualification: Candidates must be a current New York State employee eligible for transfer via Section 70.1, 52.6, or 70.4 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The Senior Administrative Analyst will perform duties within the Interactive Fantasy Sports and Sports Wagering unit under the general direction of the Deputy Director, within the Division of Gaming.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the review, tracking and retention of Sports Wagering promotional activity
• Review and approve change management requests and upgrades to all Sports Wagering platforms
• Track and retain patron complaints made by Sports Wagering customers
• Assist in the review of all suspicious activity reports submitted by operators
• Assist in the review of weekly Mobile Sports Wagering revenue submissions
• Ensure compliance of all wager offerings to customers by retail and Mobile Sports Wagering operators
• Assist in the review and approval of internal controls, house rules, standard operating procedures and other documents outlining the operation of Sports Wagering and Interactive Fantasy Sports
• Assist in the development and approval of Interactive Fantasy Sports contests
• Assist in the review of applications for Interactive Fantasy Sports permittees
• Create best practices for tracking and retaining of all relevant documents and procedures for Sports Wagering and Interactive Fantasy Sports
• Other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director

Additional Comments NOTE ON TELECOMMUTING: Gaming Commission employees are required to apply and obtain approval through management to telecommute according to the Gaming Commission’s Telecommuting Pilot Program Guidelines.

PROHIBITION AGAINST PLAYING AND WAGERING

Commission employees and family members residing in their households are prohibited from purchasing Lottery tickets or claiming Lottery prizes. Commission employees are prohibited from wagering upon any horse racing, commercial gaming, video lottery gaming, Indian gaming, charitable gaming activities, interactive fantasy sports, and mobile sports wagering within the State. To avoid any appearance of impropriety of conflict of interest, Commission employees will be prohibited from all aspects of promoting, operating, and playing in any charitable gaming, which includes bingo and games of chance such as raffles, whether the organization conducting the game is required to be licensed by the Commission. The prohibition placed upon each Commission employee from assisting with any charitable gaming does not apply to the employee's family unless the employee thinks it presents a conflict of interest related to his or her job duties. Commission employees must also avoid any outside activities that could interfere or be perceived to interfere with their job duties.
