Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service as an Administrative Aide (G-13); or one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title allocated to G-11 or above eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a professional manner; manage multiple activities and meet deadlines; have strong organizational and communication skills; and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The preferred candidate will also have a high level of competence using the following computer programs: Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access, Visio; Adobe Pro, 0365 and Share Point. Experience with the Statewide Financial System (SFS) and eBudget Applications (B1184s); and experience with State and HRI procurement, travel, and fiscal guidelines.
Duties Description This position is assigned to the Biggs Administration Office. The unit serves as a centralized administrative office providing purchase, contract, fiscal and human resources support to the staff and programs of the Wadsworth Center's Biggs Laboratory. Biggs Administration serves five divisions with over 400 staff. The incumbent will respond to inquiries from program staff regarding procurement regulations, processes, policies, procedures and practices; process procurement and travel requests according to federal, state and agency policies; evaluate and monitor program budgets; assist with database management and other data systems; collect, tabulate, analyze and monitor data; assist in the preparation, review and monitoring of grant funding; assist in staffing exercises, prepare ad hoc reports, conduct on-line research and disseminate findings internally in written reports; as well as other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
