Duties Description Business Systems Analyst 1s will be part of a team that is involved with the development and testing of processing systems for new or existing business processes. They will work closely with the business units within the Office of Real Property Tax Services and ITS staff. Under the guidance of a Business Systems Analyst 2 or other senior staff member, the Business Systems Analyst 1 may perform any of the following tasks:
• Work with Office of Real Property Tax Services (ORPTS) operational areas to receive and understand their requested annual, quarterly or ad-hoc changes to the system.
• In coordination with the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS), develop, track and implement the changes and new requirements requested by various stakeholders.
• Responsible for testing system changes including the development of system test scenarios and execution of test cases and conditions. This also includes tracking defects and their resolution
• Identify, evaluate and escalate issues and risks in a timely manner to management along with potential options for solution and resolution;
• Ensure post-implementation issues are resolved in a timely manner;
• Track data and form change requests from development thru implementation, document definition requirements, maintain spreadsheets to track changes, prepare detailed change requests or operational impact documents. Defect analysis, including working with ITS or software vendors, may be required to determine root cause of errors.
• Facilitate and coordinate with the ITS technical staff and/or software vendors to resolve network, server, security, database, system access, desktop software, virtual PC, and similar technical issues.
• Adhere to the time and attendance rules of the Department
