Permanent qualification: Candidates must currently be a permanent Office Assistant 2 OR be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list.
Transfer qualifications: Candidates must be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Provisional qualifications: Candidates must have taken the Office Assistant 2 Civil Service Examination scheduled for November 5, 2022.

Preferred Qualifications: A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Office Assistant 2 (OA2) will provide clerical and data entry support to two teams within Area 1 and provide oversight to 2 interdisciplinary clinical teams. This position requires strong communication and computer skills. The OA2 will answer phones and emails, type correspondences and maintain a variety of tracking spreadsheets.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Duties include but are not limited to
• Provide administrative services in support of state operations,
• Develop and revise work methods
• Interact with management, unions, outside agencies, families, and other stakeholders
• Maintains records as a key oversight component to Medicaid billing
• Ensures the director and deputy director have summary information of billing issues and responses
• Other duties as assigned
