Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: one year of permanent service as a Data Analyst 1 OR bachelor’s degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, and three years of experience* in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools *Substitution: A master’s degree in the above fields may substitute for one year of the specialized experience. A Ph.D. in the above fields may substitute for two years of the specialized experience.

Preferred Qualifications: The Data Analyst 2(G23) will have familiarity with the Office of the Aging & Long-Term Care data structure and core program functions. The incumbant will have experience in data aggregation techniques, professional experience creating data visualizations used for intelligence by the organizational management, and can function independently, prioritize, and handle multiple responsibilities. The incumbent will be proficient in data aggregation, data cleaning, general-purpose programming languages (SAS, Python, R, and SQL), and data quality control techniques.

Duties Description •Supervise the Data Collection Unit, including the call center operatives
•Develop structures to collect and manage all OALTC data. Applications utilized: SharePoint Sites, SharePoint Lists, Microsoft Power Automate, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS, Tableau, Drupal Surveys, Health Commerce Systems’ HERDS Surveys, SQL Developer, R Studio, Python, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft, Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Acrobat.
•Develop, implement, and produce data Quality Controls reports from collected data and other data sources.
•Collaborate directly with program managers to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build positive relationships
•Respond to Public Health Emergencies by working with the Centers leadership to establish data-related collection solutions
•Coordinate efficient IT/Data solutions for OALTC program needs
•Support and assist the Center for Policy and Regulatory Initiatives.
•Document and maintain procedures for all activities completed by supervised staff.
•Assist with implementing and maintaining data collection systems for newly implemented Health Regulations, laws, or policies applicable to OALTC Centers.
•Ongoing learning of best practices for data collection and quality control by attending seminars and reviewing training sources
•Other assignments as needed.
