Minimum Qualifications Must be a qualified employee of NYS and have had 3 months of permanent competitive or 55-B/55-C service as a Dietitian 2 and; either 1. Current registration with the Commission of Dietetics Registration (CDR) as an Registered Dietitian,
OR 2. Certification in Dietetics-Nutrition by the NYSED; and one year of post-registration/certification professional administrative experience in a food or nutrition program, and have completed a minimum of an additional 400 hours of supervised dietetics practice under the supervision of an RD.

Duties Description Oversee, manage and administer food and dietetic programs for individuals* in State facilities. Plan, organize, and direct food preparation and service clinical dietetic program activities, such as nutrition counsel, menu development, and food safety and sanitation operations, develop and implement nutrition policies and procedures; supervise the activities of dietitians, and other food and nutrition services staff; and monitor program operations to ensure the nutritional health and well-being of individuals served and are compliance with established standards, laws, rules and regulations.
