Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have a license and current registration to practice nursing in New York State.
Duties Description Registered Nurse 1’s provide professional nursing services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Services may include, but are not limited to, nursing interventions and their documentation, case finding, health teaching/counseling and provision of supportive and/or restorative care. They also participate in staff training, prepare clinical and administrative reports, maintain infection control standards, and function as a member of a treatment team.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform Registered Nurse 1 duties, as assigned.
Serve as a triage nurse, accepting calls and providing nursing direction to staff throughout the six-county catchment area.
provide clinical supervision and training to LPN's and direct care staff in health-related activities.
May serve as triage nurse as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Additional Comments Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 18 (61,270) and Geographic Pay Differential ($20,000) and Increased Hiring Salary ($8,416) Geographic Pay Differential is added. Geographic Pay Differential is added to the job rate ($77,912) for the PS&T Grade 18
As a participating agency in the Heath Care and Mental Hygiene Worker Bonus Program (HWB), direct care employees may be eligible to earn up to $3000 in bonuses for qualifying service if they meet specific requirements including continuous service during the appropriate vesting periods.
