Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
One or more of the following:
• Four years of full-time experience in painting under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in painting at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services.

• This position requires traveling within the campus, between the campuses, and off campus, therefore, the candidate must be able to demonstrate their ability to meet this requirement.

• Due to the nature of the work, the incumbent must hold the discipline, motivation, and knowledge to successfully complete tasks independently with little to no supervision
• Professionalism is important as the incumbent may serve as a supervisor to designated staff; the incumbent will also encounter students, staff and visitors throughout the workday; representing Campus Living in a positive manner is essential.
• The incumbent must be able to demonstrate skills at a high level that are appropriate for the trade/position

Duties Description Position Summary:
Campus Living Maintenance is accepting applications for the Trades Specialist – Painter position. In this role, you will perform journey-level painting work to decorate and protect surfaces and fixtures of buildings, structures, furniture, equipment, and materials. You will join a team of engaging and dedicated individuals in a dynamic environment that encourages professional growth.

Your responsibilities include:

Determine and use the appropriate tools, equipment, and materials of the painting trade
Estimate the quantity of paint and related materials necessary to complete a project
Match paints
Work on projects requiring special preparation and/or fine finishing
Erect and work from scaffolds and ladders
Paint at floor and ceiling levels
Supervise and train designated staff
