Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 4 years office experience or bachelor's degree plus 2 years office experience.
Duties Description The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct is seeking an administrative assistant who is detail oriented, organized, versatile, able to adapt to changing priorities and to work discreetly with sensitive and confidential matters. Solid computer skills required; familiarity with the NY court system a plus. Excellent benefits.
Duties include:
• receiving, sorting, logging, scanning & distributing incoming mail, faxes & email;
• scanning documents to electronic network;
• assisting Information Services Director with tasks related to the dissemination of materials to Commission Members;
• typing correspondence;
• providing reception coverage;
• organizing daily press clips;
• providing support to administrative, investigative & legal staff; and,
• other administrative, secretarial & clerical duties as assigned.
Additional Comments Required skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL and Adobe Acrobat Professional
• Fast, accurate typing
• Occasional overtime may be required
• Comfortable moving scanned documents in a network
• Integrity, honesty, trustworthiness and discretion
• Patient and calm telephone manner in dealing with the public
• Must be capable of working independently
This position is eligible for full NYS benefits including: health, dental and vision insurance; pension plan; paid time off; etc. This position is currently hybrid.
